Sway | A new group exhibition of ceramic & printmaking
The annual exhibition of ceramics and printmaking students encapsulates
the extensive creative activity that takes place throughout the year at the Shared
Art Center in Givat Haviva.
Hundreds of works are displayed in five gallery spaces, all
of them created with meticulous and high-quality handwork.
The Shared Art Center, which has been operating for over
three decades, is a place of growth, nurturing artists who are active in the
local material culture field. We believe
in the values of a shared
society and in creating communities that bring people, ideas and worlds
together through artistic creation.
Over two hundred students come here every week in order to
explore, experiment, talk and refine a personal creative language.
Amidst the instability and extreme and ceaseless
fluctuations produced by the current reality, the exhibition offers an
opportunity to look and pay attention to the variety of voices and ideas
arising from the artistic actions with the material.
It also invites us to see how a safe creative space can
establish and increase the sphere of goodness, through thought, emotion,
playfulness and skill.
